Sec. State Lays Smackdown On Patty Wentz
It seems that the deceiving thugs over at Our Oregon just can't hold to reality.
Last April Patty Wentz (former Willamette Week reporter) with help from her Union Thug backers filed a challenge against the Taxpayer's Association of Oregon and the "Rainy Day Ammendment" ballot measure that is currently being circulated.
Wentz and the thugs tried to say that TAO was in violation of election laws for misleading voters about the impact of ballot measure #6. They knew they were wrong, yet insisted in wasting taxpayer funds and resources anyway. So the filed a complaint with State Elections Division.
Well the Secretary of State’s Elections Division dismissed an elections complaint aimed at a citizen initiative proposing a Constitutional Spending Limit for state government. Did the habitually deceptive Wentz make any mention on their website? Not yet.
The TAO press release correctly states:The Secretary of State investigated her claims and quickly determined that McIntire’s statements about creating a rainy day fund were entirely permissible as a plausible effect of the measure. Secretary of State Compliance Specialist Norma Buckno wrote that a rainy day fund could be a natural outcome of the amendment,* because it would prohibit the legislature from spending surplus revenues (revenues collected over and above the expenditures allowed by the spending limit each biennium). Those surplus revenues would accumulate and be available to offset revenue shortfalls.
Of course we at NWR knew this was merely a tactic used by Wentz and the Thugs to cause TAO to use more resources. Unfortunately Wentz and the Union Thugs like to think of the Secretary of State's office as their own resources and use taxpayer dollars to help perpetuate their own deceptions. The fact that Wentz is still holding to the decpetion on thier website shows that they realize the measure will be popular with the people.
Patty Wentz and the Union Thugs who support her anti-democracy organization have in the past hired thugs off of the street, gave them red T-shirts and sent them out to harass signature gatherers and those that sign petitions. Even to the point of making false claims to store owners and managers in an effort to cut down on petitioning locations.
Wentz and the thugs have also made a habbit out of falsly accusing petitioners as they did last December.
I just wonder when an investigation into the funding of Wentz's organization is going to take place. After all wouldn't it be illegal for a non-profit organization to continually single out ballot measures based solely on what is in the Union Thugs best interest?
Yip Yip

C'mon Coyote. Stop the fiction. It makes a good joke, but this does not happen. Our Sec. of State is a sincere, non-partisan, non-political elections officer, as honest as the day is long. Everyone knows that. Otherwise, we'd have read about this in the newspapers.
"Otherwise, we'd have read about this in the newspapers"
Yeah, what that guy said.
