Please help me and my family with solid information we can give to people who do not understand the details of measure 37 and are easily swayed by measure 49's "save the earth" targets. I have several frieds who are well intentioned people. They hear the headlines about 30,000 acres in Clackamus Co alone that will be developed. They hear how 20,000 acres of F1 land is going to be taken out of "agricultural production." They do not see how 20,000 has not really been used as agricultural anything for the last few decades, because farmers in Oregon cannot make a living as farmers. Is there any way to show how the majority of the proposed measure 37 claims are used now and how the really would be developed. The notion that all 30,000 acres would be turned into 1 acre lots of development is just not true... but how do you fight this?
How about putting your time into helping those farmers instead of stealing their land.
