Oregon Conservatives get serious
I forgot to mention this post at RedState network.Oregonian conservatives have unveiled an important new initiative, the Conservative
Majority Project.Led by Rob Kremer and Jared McKinney, the organization will be investing money in races with good conservative candidates who can win.
It turns out that the Conservative Majority Project got some national notice in the blogosphere as well as the local notice.
Perhaps I need to figure out how to get word to the folks at RedState that the CMP actually did pretty darned well in the Oregon primaries.
Now they have a blog to update folks on some of their current activities. One of which is an attempt to raise $200,000 for the November elections and use that money to help elect conservative Republicans to the Oregon House and attempt to win back a conservative majority.
If their fighting spirit in the primaries is any indication then the general election in Oregon is getting more and more interesting.
I am going to have to take a trip over to the CMP website and make another donation to the effort myself. I've done it before and can attest to you that it is really quite simple and painless. After all, if I can navigate the technological process ANYONE can.

Your money would be better pent on a copy of Mein Kampf - the future of the Pube party does not lie in the Stars and Bars of Confederate Dixie, but in progressive Pubes like Sen Gordon Smith.
MAking National new yesterday with this ad
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGDJijGCeO4&NR=1
He is the future of your Party. Conservative Nazi's - Neo or other, have wreaked havoc in the United States, and made a laughing stock out of our Country.
Emory,
Is it your opinion that the country should be run like Democrat dominated Portland?
Or do you have any other model?
emoryBat has absolutely no connection to Oregon and is just looking for an audience.
He has on numerous occasions shown himself to be a duplicitous snot.
He changes his positions so much it is not even worth it to engage him in the slightest. Except to mock his duplicity and his attempt at deceipt.
emory is brought to us courtesy of George Soros and the MoveOns who compensate him for showing off the true hate and asininity of the Left.
Keep it up emory, we missed you yesterday. And thanks, Big George! We are here to help you lose your bet against America.
"emoryBat has absolutely no connection to Oregon and is just looking for an audience."
True - I have no connection to Oregon. Untrue about an audience - I could actually care less about audiences. However; as we all know (or most) what you elect to a national stage has a deep impact on the rest of the country. I cannot vote for a Senator from Oregon; have no voice there, but their vote impacts me directly - please see Coyotes recent Scotus post.
Coyote,
I have never been disrespectful of you in the personal way you are to me. I can only assume that my opinion and views disturb you - hit a nerve of honesty that you are uncomfortable with, OR, you are the type of person that rejects an offered friendship.
I have been visiting your blog, for many years now. I would have thought that you could offer a modicum of decency.
-----------------------
Portland as a model?
In National rankings Portland (and Oregon in general) consistantly rank high. You have good demographics - a good standard of living. Your City has done a fantastic job of controling sprawl, the type that has pretty much destoyed many other cities of Portalnds size.
Your livability is high, your crime low. Your schools are much better than you give then credit for.
The grass is not always greener - and Portland is certainly one of the best cities of her size. You have much to be proud of.
Your weather may stink, but certainly not your city.
I do not know that I would choose Portland as THE model, but certainly you have much to offer the rest of the country. Beleive it or not.
It's going to take a while for emory to adjust to his new meds. This thread has nothing to do with emory or his left-wing phantasies.
The Conservative Majority Project is turning into a model for the nation - with imitators turning up left and right.
Go CMP! Take Oregon back from the certified smart people!!
Emory's obviously never been to North Portland.
"This thread has nothing to do with emory ..."
Thank you; I have been articulating this for months.
The problem(s) facing pubes are myriad. Conservatism has been a unmitigated failure, and will continue to be a failure.
A regressive ideology, that found limited success in the persona of RR, twenty years ago, is no longer applicable to current middle America.
You now offer the country nothing. You are left with only anger, loathing, bitterness and fail. I saw the writing on the wall in 2000 - chance for the Pubes to moderate their social views. A chance to allow people to live, and let live.
Today our country is in two wars (always wars associated with conservatism - from Genada to Panama, Somalia and twice now - Iraq)
Historic deficits are the legacy of Conservatism - sure your propaganda about spending sits well with the uniformed, but under any statisical scutiny Conservatism is all Fail. RR, Bush I, and Dumbya have piled up massive deficits (go ahead bleam Democrats, been there done that, and have the T-shirt)
Socialy Conservatism is austere in the extreme - America is, and always has been an open and promoting society. Freedom and Liberty her calling. Women, Gays, minorities, and now immigrants are your latest haights.
Education is unwanted in conservatism - you have no need for an enlightened population.
Your Project is more propaganda, and frankly America has moved on. You have done all the damage you are going to do to this Great Country.
emoryBat,
You crossed over the line a few days ago and I lost all respect for you personally.
I never gave your political views much thought but at least, myself anyway, tried to treat you with some decency.
When you decided to dip into schoolyard name calling with me it ended.
You showed yourself to be a duplicitous snot.
Visit if you want. Or leave. I don't care. But don't expect to be treated in an adult fashion.
Em said; ”the future of the Pube party does not lie in the Stars and Bars of Confederate Dixie,”
You almost got that right, however the DINO’s are the political cucarachas whose past and future lies with the racism of Confederate Dixie. DemocRats used their terrorist wing, the KKK, to deny civil rights to blacks and all other groups that supported desegregation. Members of the GOP have many pro-civil rights accomplishments to be proud of.
KKK's 1st targets were Republicans

Dems credited with starting group that attacked both blacks, whites
[‘The original targets of the Ku Klux Klan were Republicans, both black and white, according to a new television program and book, which describe how the Democrats started the KKK and for decades harassed the GOP with lynchings and threats.
An estimated 3,446 blacks and 1,297 whites died at the end of KKK ropes from 1882 to 1964.’]
Now back to the CMP.
"But don't expect to be treated in an adult fashion."
Coyote, when I come here that is not an expectation - I know what conservatism attracts.... but that was not my point to you. Sir.
I refuse to watch another Russell Crowe movie. He is a certified smart person and as such would not approve of CMP.
Well -- first of all, for all of you who hate Portland here's some help: http://www.flypdx.com/
Also - could someone, anyone, please show me how you create a political “majority” by only appealing to the political margins?
Think Bell Curve, folks.
I mean, as cons took over the Republican party in Oregon (can you imagine McCall winning a republican party primary nowadays, or Packwood or Hatfield?) it’s lost more and more statewide elections and now has one, ONE, statewide official, (and for the most part detest him) and couldn't even find a candidate for AG.
And your solution? -- Let’s all run off that cliff over there! Yipee!
Oh, wait a minute......
splat
"He is the future of your Party. Conservative Nazi's - Neo or other, have wreaked havoc in the United States, and made a laughing stock out of our Country."
Keep kicking butt, Emorybat.
I'd be really interested in seeing a list of conservatives who have been the Republican nominee for a statewide office in the past 20 years.
murphy,
You continue to display your ignorance and of lack of ability to read and comprehend.
Which should be no surprise since you are a moonbat and that is expected of moonbats.
So...AGAIN... a very short history lesson for the moonbat murphy.
The Oregon House and Senate won sizeable majorities in the early 90's. How? Buy running as conservatives.
Remember:
Sen. Marilyn Shannon
Sen. Eileen Qutub
Rep. Ron Sunseri
Just to name a few.
Then remember that Max Williams RAN as a conservative then showed his true colors to vote like a liberal.
Remember that Eileen Qutub and Marilyn Shannon voted for the gas tax increase and were punished for it by being run out of office. Both of them have said that in retrospect they should have never done that and that.
Remember that the liberal Republicans got their chosen nominee in Ron Saxton and look how THAT turned out.
murphy, I know you like to perpetuate the lie but the reality is that in the late 90's and early part of 2000's the Republicans began pushing tax increases and talking more like "moderates" and quit articulating conservative principles.
Oh... and look what happened... They lost majorities in both chambers.
So now you know the truth. Until now let's assume that you were merely ignorant of reality.
However now that you know the truth, if you continue to try to sell the canard we will have to assume that you are a liar.
Finally the CMP is not at all dealing with statewide candidates...again try reading for comprehension sometimes. it is really quite liberating.
The CMP is getting involved in HOUSE races.
I know the world is easy to manage when you attempt to play "sim-politics" on your computer but you don't get to project your alternate reality here without being called on it.
yip yip
Your money would be better pent on a copy of Mein Kampf - the future of the Pube party does not lie in the Stars and Bars of Confederate Dixie, but in progressive Pubes like Sen Gordon Smith.
Em, you got no business claiming that you're not disrespectful.
You've never been anything else.
Emory lost his debate and his marbles when he referenced Hitler.
Godwin's law, asshole. You lose.
"Today our country is in two wars (always wars associated with conservatism - from Genada to Panama, Somalia and twice now - Iraq)" says Emory.
Lets not forget WWI(Woodrow Wilson), WWII (Franklin Roosevelt), Korea (Harry Truman), Vietnam (John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson), all wars started by Democrats. And then we have the innocent aspirin factory bombed by Clinton!
How do you actually support the wild-eyed claim "the CMP actually did pretty darned well in the Oregon primaries." and keep a straight face?
Let's set aside the fact that the "Project" is really only funded by two major donors: JB Weston and Loren Parks.
Out of sixty potential primary races, they funneled $5,500 to Matt Lindland who won by a mere 895 votes.
That's your definition of "pretty darned well"?
Pathetic.
moonbat,
Because it's true. But then what is the truth to a moonbat? LOL
There was more than $5,500 given to the Lindland campaign. Perhaps you should learn to read C&E reports.
Oh and then there was the impact on the other campaigns. Do you know anything about those?
I guess not. D'oh.
Do you know anything about back channel communications?
Uh... Nope.
Did you even read the CMP site to see what they were about?
Obviously not since you continue to refer to 60 different races.
But you are entertaining.
