Surprise: Obama appointee over his head
Remember how Barack Obama stood by tax cheater Timothy Geithner saying that Geithner was indispensable in this time of economic crisis? He was the smartest and best pick to lead America's Treasury.
You know it is getting bad if the NYTimes is writing stories like this about the Obama administration (Geithner, With Few Aides, Is Scrambling).
But even as he maintains a frenetic pace — unveiling plans, testifying before Congress and negotiating new bailouts with the likes of Citigroup, General Motors and the American International Group — there are signs that events are getting ahead of him. What we don't know is just how over their head this administration is right now. Something tells me that if the NYTimes is writing this then this is really the tip of the ice-berg and they are merely preparing themselves to write more bad news later.

I'm starting to see Obama as no more than a Ted Kulongoski who gives better speeches.
As far as I can tell Obama is doing exactly what Kulongoski or any other typical liberal, would do with with blind support from all the blue people.
Geithner was well supported by Republicans also.
One of the issues is the Republicans in the senate have been holding up some of the nominees for the economic team.
First he was not "well supported" by Republicans. They bit their lip and gave the president a little margin for his appointees. Don't confuse the difference.
Second even IF some did support him are you saying that you are now using Republicans to back up your policies? LOL...
Finally, at this point I would hope that the Republicans are holding up appointments to this disaster of an "economic" team.
