Democrat Nancy Pelosi, despicable liar

It is becoming abundantly clear that Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has lied to the American people about what she knew (about the alleged "torture" issue) and when she knew it.

Pelosi was eager to prosecute Bush officials for what she deemed "torture" and yet she knew it was going on and said nothing. Shouldn't she then be held to her same standard? Or is she only willing to prosecute her political enemies as in the days of Soviet Russia?

If she were a Republican there would be calls for an independent prosecutor. Do you think that one is warranted in this circumstance?

Pelosi and Reid are the worst kinds of politicians. Always willing to apply the moonbat rules and always putting political advantage ahead of this nation's best interest.

Is there anyone out there anymore who is willing to defend her?

NOTE: We are asking the poll question in the blog side-bar.

UPDATE: Leon Panetta says (basically) Pelosi is a liar.

There were several people in the same briefings that Pelosi attended and all have the same recollections except Pelosi. This dingbat has changed her story 5 times to the detriment of the people charged with the serious responsibility of keeping this country safe. To have someone this despicably dishonest as Speaker of the House is disgusting. The only thing worse is she has politicized national security and compromised our safety.

This must be what happens when too many facelifts put a tremendous amount of pressure on a tiny brain.

There's so much more on Pelosi in SF, but The City is so overrun with liberal wack jobs who'll cover for her, you'll hear nothing.

Yes, we should prosecute as war criminals anyone who committed acts in, authorized, or had prior knowledge of the Bush torture regime.

I think we can all agree on that, right?

Hey solidcitizen,

WTF are you talking about?

Oh, I get it, sarcasm...LOL

No, I cannot agree, because you liberals consider anything you don't like to be torture. Whether it be waterboarding or Rush Limbaugh, you would classify everything as torture and prosecute every conservative, if you could.

I, for one, don't have a problem with some of the techniques the left considers to be "torture".

Waterboarding, for instance, is an interrogation technique that yields results. We will never know how many lives were saved as a result of information gained by U.S. Intelligence through the use of these techniques. Of course, that won't stop the left from complaining about the treatment of these terrorists.

As far as I am concerned, however, the terrorists are lucky to be alive. The only thing keeping them alive was the fact they had information that could save the lives of innocent Americans. Otherwise, the terrorists all deserve to meet Allah and the 72 virgins.

I completely agree that there should be no international law when it comes to war. Let he with the biggest bombs win, I say!

Every enemy soldier caught should be immediately executed by whoever can get to their gun first. Am I right?

When I think of all those Nazis, Japs, Koreans, and Viet Cong we caught and released and didn't send down to Satan, oh it makes my blood boil!

And don't even get me started on those Commies! You know how many people Stalin had killed? 20 million! And those bastards are still walking around today! Well, not Stalin himself, but former Commies who would have been just as bad, if they had the chance! Why Reagan didn't have the guts to nuke them all, I'll never know!

Hm. It appears that at there is some support for Pelosi's position.

Coming from a less than reputable source - Bob Graham (D), Fla. - hah. That's a no-brainer - I'm siding with Leon Panetta on this one.

solidcitizen - why are being disingenuous ? Would we have to waterboard you to find out what you really think ?

Solid? Sorry but I have no clue what your point is.

'solid' poses as a typical, rabid anti-leftist ... attempting a double-gainer reverse Saul Alinsky twist against you Conserv-a-Nutz. Even a credentialed leftwing political science fiction writer like me finds this tactic incomprehensible. This is what you get when Randy Leonard drinks too much (dark roast?) after 4pm. He should participate in the conference calls; he'd learn a lot about how to do this important work correctly.

Coyote:

Just agreeing with my man Anon 2:49. Killings too good for these terrorist bastards and any technique that protects American lives - like summary battlefield execution - should be used. I can't understand anyone that says different.

The so-called liberals claim that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of "innocent" men at Gitmo, but when we released some of them, they went right back to terrorism. The CIA said so. Or was it the Pentagon, I forget. Anyway, if we had just shot the terrorist assholes, they'd be dead, not plotting to harm Americans, am I right?

And I'm just saying that it upsets me that there are other enemies in American history that we have treated all too kindly. Let's take the Nazis for instance. The terrorist bastards killed 3000 Americans on 9-11 and 4000 or so of our troops thereafter. The Nazis killed 500,000 Americans and 6 million Jews. Why we did not torture the German bastards for whatever information they might have, then put a bullet in the back of their heads, I'll never know. Makes no sense, does it?

The same goes for all of our enemies throughout time and in the future. We should do whatever it takes to protect innocent (is there any other kind?) American lives. Whatever it takes.
