I have done more to take on lobbyists than any other candidate in this race - and I've won. I don't take a dime of their money, and when I am President, they won't find a job in my White House.
a National Journal look at 267 Obama nominees and appointees found that at least 30 — or about 11 percent — have been registered lobbyists at some point during the past five years.
Among them are some top officials: Attorney General Eric Holder was registered as a lobbyist at Covington & Burling as recently as 2004; Tom Vilsack, the former Iowa governor who is Obama's Agriculture secretary, was a registered lobbyist for the National Education Association in 2007; Ron Klain, chief of staff to Vice President Biden, was a lobbyist at O'Melveny & Myers until 2004; and David Hayes, deputy secretary of the Interior, was a lobbyist at Latham & Watkins through 2006.

And in the spirit of our national holiday, Sarah Palin abuses our sacred symbol.

Is that the acrtic ice melting?
Oh it's a coyote.
Shoot birdies
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
And who cares about the flag, this is a conservative website, traditional rules don't apply.
IOKIYAR
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
The real question is whether Bojack or Obama or both should be flattered.
When the Obama campaign printed YES WE CAN on the flag, which is BLATANT disrespect for the flag, this forum was filled with "oh give me a break, grow up" comments from the BlueOregon crowd. Not a single one of them said "yes, that was poor taste, Obama should take some flak for this."
Now when Palin takes a photo with a flag draped over a chair, which isn't disrespectful of a flag, as it clearly is not touching the ground, they go nuts.
You guys are the most dishonest people I've met in my life. It amazes me every day. I was raised to be honest, so it still surprises me to see so much hypocrisy and hate from even my political opponents.
Anon @ 2:07-did it occur to you that there is not actually outrage. It's amusement. The R's have a lock on the more idiotic forms of patriotism. When we make fun of Sarah, its not so much that we care about the flag. It's just sort of fun to see your pin-up airhead of a party leader try to wrap herself in the flag while abusing it. I repeat-there is no offense taken by Sarah's cheerleader for the flag photo, but plenty of opportunity for satire and ridicule.
My condolences on Caribou Barbie's abrupt resignation from the governorship and, apparently, from politics. I predicted many months ago that this woman would not finish her term as governor, much less get elected president. Something very, very ugly is going to come out in the next few days, mark my words. She is an individual who simply does not understand the meaning of the word "ethics."
I predicted many months ago ... mark my words ...
Oh really, ANONYBAT, you did? We should? OK, on the strength of this brilliant comment and superior argument, we've decided to start h8ing S.P. and worshipping "The One" a/k/a B'Rock, just like you.
Happy (In)dependence Day, 'bats!
You guys are gonna be in trouble when Coyote gets back!
Happy (In)dependence Day, 'bats!
And a good Day to you, Corkie.
I predicted many months ago
That IS an asinine comment under the guise of "anonymous".
You guys are gonna be in trouble when Coyote gets back!
When the dog's away, the cats will play?
When the going gets tough, the weak quit.
On this glorious Fourth of July I am doubly thankful now that Sarah Sockpuppet has deserted her post and in all likelihood eliminated any possibility of ever becoming president.
anon 7:49,
Grow up.
buh bye
anon 7:48,
Spoken like a true adult. I'm sure that in your private little hate filled moonbat circles you also make "retard" jokes about Palin and her son.
Because you don't have the courage to stand by your comments we will assume that.

I can tell you are waiting with baited breath for that to happen. In the end, you will likely be saddened because nothing like that will happen. More importantly, an easy target for the moonbats has disappeared from the landscape. No more Bush 43 and soon - no more Palin to kick around.
"More importantly, an easy target for the moonbats has disappeared from the landscape."
Nice try at putting a positive spin on this event, but the inescapable fact is that the radical right has lost one of its shining stars.
Furthermore, the supply of right-wing wackos is limitless, so the loss of this one is no big deal. We Democrats are operating in what is described by the military as a "target-rich environment."
Your basic problem is that over the years the extremist loons have driven the rational people out of the Republican Party until all that's left is the tinfoil-hat, black-helicopters-are-coming-to-take-away-my-guns crowd. Limbaugh IS the de facto leader of your party, which is why all Republican politicians bow and scrape before His Almighty Rushness.
Lotsa luck with that.

Three-word response: "Wait and see."
But even if it doesn't happen, Palin's political career is toast. Americans don't like quitters.
The public has a fickle memory. She could quite easily resurrect her political career - if it really is moribund. Put a few years behind ya... Richard Nixon did the same thing - made a dramatic exit from the political scene, and then came back to be President.
It'll be fun to see how she positions herself, and to see if the conservatives and Republicans are receptive.
"Richard Nixon did the same thing - made a dramatic exit from the political scene, and then came back to be President."
Nixon had been a congressman, a US senator and a vice president. He never quit any of those jobs in mid-term.
Moreover, Nixon was not an ignoramus.
These childish Moonbat comments are pathetic at best. But the posts are great. We're with you, Coyote.
The left will keep focusing on Palin - a soon to be has-been, while some new shining stars are on the horizon.
Meanwhile, back in DC the despot Obama Administration will keep trying to legislate the new world order socialist utopia for their audacity of hope and change, where Kennedy's quote has been transformed into "Ask not what you can do for government, ask what your government can do for you". Here comes the nanny state for all of those lazy SOB's who voted it in last November.
"Here comes the nanny state for all of those lazy SOB's who voted it in last November."
You righties have been whining about the "nanny state" since 1932.
Yeah. We love the nanny state. Why don't you conservatives move to Honduras where you belong?
